Welcome to my new blog- let's talk sperm donation!

Free Sperm Donations Worldwide (FSDW) members, donors and site visitors have been asking me to create a blog for ages- so here it is! As usual I aim to promote intelligent discussion- sharing information, experiences and talking openly about this fascinating topic.

Please note that if you are looking for a donor, or are a donor you will not be allowed to post 'sperm donor wanted' - or 'offering to donate sperm' messages! Do that through the FSDW site- its what it was created for- and is well moderated. This blog has been created to discuss private sperm donation. I have also created a google group where you can join as a member and contribute. http://groups.google.com.au/group/private-sperm-donation

There are so many issues- and yet clinics, charities, government etc only seem to focus on the health risks and that legally this is such a grey area. Its so new with regards to legal precident. I have been involved in helping women and infertile couples become parents for around 6 years now- I have a good understanding of why men choose to donate privately- despite the risks- and why women turn to FSDW to find a private donor- again regardless of the risks. I will be sharing that with you-along with stories, practical information about the process of home self-insemination- and what kind of things to consider before you participate in a private sperm donor arrangement- as recipient or donor. As 'The Child Listener™' I will also of course be discussing the issues relating to child born through private sperm donation.
